The main requirements for gas and oil metering devices are high measurement accuracy in a wide range of changes in physical quantities; reliability of operation in Russian climatic conditions; autonomy of operation; stability of readings throughout the entire verification interval; archiving and transmission of information; ease of maintenance, including work related to the verification of devices.
Commercial gas and oil metering units are used for commercial accounting during accounting and settlement operations, and technological accounting at industrial enterprises, technological production facilities, gas distribution stations, underground gas storage facilities, and other facilities.
A commercial node, unlike a non–commercial (operational) one, is designed only to control the quality of the final product, to take into account the quantity of the product by a certified method. The readings of the commercial accounting unit are used only for mutual settlements between the consumer and the manufacturer.
